About the Role:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide personalised support to pupils with SEN, including autism (ASD), ADHD, and behavioural needs, within a mainstream classroom. Your role will be instrumental in helping these pupils access the curriculum, build confidence, and develop essential social skills.
Key Responsibilities as an SEN Teaching Assistant:
- 1:1 Support: Work closely with individual pupils to help them engage in lessons and achieve their learning goals.
- Tailor Learning Materials: Adapt resources and teaching strategies to meet the specific needs of the child.
- Encourage Inclusion: Support the pupil's integration into the wider classroom environment while promoting positive relationships with peers.
- Monitor Progress: Observe and record the pupil's development, sharing insights with the teacher and SENCO.
