The Role:
As a Year 6 Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
- Working with small groups or individual pupils to reinforce learning and boost confidence.
- Assisting with classroom management and maintaining a positive learning environment.
- Preparing resources and helping to organize activities and interventions tailored to Year 6 learning objectives.
- Providing emotional and pastoral support to pupils, especially during this critical year of their primary education.
What We're Looking For:
We're seeking a Teaching Assistant who is:
- Enthusiastic about education and working with children.
- Able to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
- Organized, adaptable, and proactive.
- Committed to supporting the unique needs of Year 6 learners, including SATs preparation.
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or working with children is highly desirable.
