Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:15 AM - 3:45 PM (30-minute lunch break)
Pay Rate: £13.69 to £15.83 per hour

Reeson Education is recruiting a caring and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support a lovely Year 2 pupil with ASD and mild learning needs in a vibrant two-form entry primary school in the WA3 area of Wigan. This Teaching Assistant role is to begin as soon as possible and is full-time, long-term.

Key Responsibilities for the Teaching Assistant:
Work as a Teaching Assistant in class, providing 1:1 support to a pupil with ASD.
Support with emotional regulation, classroom routines, and academic tasks.
Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO to implement personalised strategies.
Provide support that promotes independence, confidence, and engagement.
Be a proactive and encouraging Teaching Assistant presence in the classroom.
The Ideal Teaching Assistant Will:
Be a patient, consistent, and dedicated Teaching Assistant.
Have experience supporting children with SEND (especially ASD).
Understand how to implement structured support within a Year 2 setting.
Work well as part of a team and be adaptable in a dynamic classroom environment.
Have a strong desire to make a positive impact as a Teaching Assistant.
Teaching Assistant Requirements:
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply).
Right to work in the UK.
References covering the last 2-3 years.
A strong sense of commitment to your role as a Teaching Assistant.
