Job Title: Teaching Assistant
Location: M23 (Wythenshawe, Manchester)
Pay Rates: £12.83 to £14.23 per hour
Shift Patterns: Monday to Friday

Reeson Education is working closely with a welcoming and inclusive school in the M23 area to find a passionate Teaching Assistant to join their team. This exciting role is to support a pupil with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a Year 6 class, starting ASAP and is a long-term, ongoing position.

The school is seeking a Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support to a young pupil with SEMH needs.

The pupil requires a Teaching Assistant who is nurturing, compassionate, and can build a positive, supportive relationship.

The ideal Teaching Assistant will act as a parental figure, offering consistency and guidance.

The pupil is caring, bright, and values strong, trusting relationships.

As the Teaching Assistant, you will be leading interventions and engaging in fun, creative activities both inside and outside the classroom to help support the pupil's development.

This Teaching Assistant role will be:

  • Monday to Friday
  • School hours with a 30-minute dinner break
  • Based in Year 6 (KS2)
  • Providing 1:1 support to the pupil

The Teaching Assistant will benefit from:

  • Experience working with SEN/SEMH students
  • Previous experience in Year 6 or KS2
  • Experience supporting students on a 1:1 basis
  • Ability to deliver engaging interventions and activities
  • A passion for making a difference in the lives of children with SEN

The successful Teaching Assistant will be:

  • Confident, resilient, and able to work well under pressure
  • Patient, kind, and able to nurture positive relationships
  • Creative and engaging, able to adapt lessons to suit the individual needs of the pupil
