This single form entry primary school is located in the heart of Kensington. Your role as a teaching assistant will be to support the class teacher and children within key stage 1 in either year 1 or year2. You may also be given opportunities to work within other year groups throughout the school. You will assist the class teacher with lesson and classroom preparation and set up, lesson delivery and activities, managing general classroom behaviour, working with small groups of children to enhance the overall success rates within key subjects and you will have opportunities to support children with special needs on a 1:1 basis.

In order to be successful for the post of teaching assistant, you will need to have at least 3 months experience working with children. This experience can come from a range of backgrounds such as classroom based, clubs, coaching, tutoring etc. A degree or child related qualification is desirable but not essential. The successful teaching assistant will also need to be proactive, able to work off your own initiative and have a real passion and desire to ensure all students receive and outstanding education.
