Teaching Assistant - North West London - Full Time - Immediate Start

Responsibilities of the Teaching Assistant (ASD) at a secondary level include:

  1. Providing one-on-one and group support to students with ASD, focusing on their individual needs and adapting teaching strategies accordingly.
  2. Assisting in the development and implementation of personalised learning plans, ensuring that each student's educational goals are met.
  3. Employing effective behaviour management techniques to help students with challenging behaviours regulate their emotions and engage positively in the learning environment.
  4. Collaborating closely with the teaching staff and other professionals, such as Speech and Language Therapists and Occupational Therapists, to implement specialised interventions and strategies.
  5. Promoting social interaction and communication skills among students with ASD, facilitating their integration into the school community.
  6. Monitoring student progress and providing regular feedback to the teaching team, contributing to the development of individualised education plans.
