Position: Teaching Assistant

Hours: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM, Monday to Friday (30-minute lunch break)
Salary: £102-£111 per day
Reeson Education is looking for a Teaching Assistant to join a fantastic SEN school in SK15, Stalybridge. This full-time, long-term role involves supporting pupils aged 11 to 16 with a range of additional needs, including ADHD, SEMH, ASD, and behavioural challenges. The school provides a structured and nurturing learning environment where pupils receive tailored support to help them thrive academically and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities for the Teaching Assistant:
Provide classroom support as a Teaching Assistant, assisting pupils with SEMH, ADHD, ASD, and behavioural needs.
Work 1:1 and in small groups to help pupils engage with learning and develop social confidence.
Implement behaviour management strategies and support pupils in regulating their emotions.
Adapt learning materials to meet the individual needs of each pupil.
Encourage and develop positive relationships with students, promoting a safe and inclusive environment.
Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and therapists to support pupils' educational and emotional development.
Requirements for the Teaching Assistant:
Experience as a Teaching Assistant in SEN, mainstream education, alternative provisions, or youth settings.
Experience in sports coaching, mentoring, or working with children in youth clubs or behavioural support is highly relevant.
A resilient, proactive, and adaptable approach to working with pupils with additional needs.
Strong communication skills and the ability to build trusting relationships with young people.
Commitment to a full-time, long-term role in a specialist SEN setting.
