Are you a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant looking for a fulfilling role in education? We have an exciting opportunity for a Special Needs Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and dynamic team at a vibrant school in Chelsea, London. This is a long-term role starting in January, perfect for those passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with special educational needs (SEN).
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting students with special educational needs in their academic and personal development.
- Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement tailored learning strategies.
- Providing one-on-one and group support to help students access the curriculum effectively.
- Encouraging and nurturing a positive learning environment.
- Assisting with classroom management and ensuring the welfare of students.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, preferably with SEN experience.
- A caring and patient individual with excellent communication skills.
- A proactive approach and a genuine passion for education.
- Relevant qualifications or training in supporting SEN is desirable but not essential.
