Hours: Full-time, long-term, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM (with 30-minute lunch break)

Key Responsibilities for the Teaching Assistant:

  • Lead interventions and group activities for KS1 & KS2 pupils as a teaching assistant
    * Provide 1:1 support for pupils who need extra help
    * Bridge learning gaps to ensure all children reach their potential
    * Work closely with the class teacher as a teaching assistant to deliver effective learning strategies
    * Foster a positive, engaging, and supportive environment for pupils

Requirements for the Teaching Assistant:

  • Previous experience as a teaching assistant or similar role in a primary school setting
    * Ability to work effectively with lower ability pupils
    * Strong communication skills and a patient, empathetic approach
    * Enthusiasm for helping pupils succeed and build confidence
