A Teaching Assistant is needed in a mixed Secondary School & Sixth Form in South East London.

This Teaching Assistant position will be full time and long term with scope to go permanent.

The school is seeking a Teaching Assistant that has strong behaviour management skills, good all round subject knowledge and the ability to multitask effectively.

If appointed as a Teaching Assistant, you will be expected to support pupils in class and on a 1:1 basis.

Experience of supporting children/young people with Autism, Dyslexia and Dyscalculia will be advantageous for this Teaching Assistant role.

There may also be times when you are expected to cover classes in the absence of the class teacher. Therefore, being able to adapt to different situations, stay calm under pressure and maintain a calm environment will all be very advantageous qualities for this Teaching Assistant post.

The rates of pay for this Teaching Assistant position will be between £79 to £100 a day, depending on the qualifications and experiences of each applicant.

Requirements

You are encouraged to apply if you are a recent Graduate or experienced Teaching Assistant.

Applications are also welcome if you are a British trained Teaching Assistant or overseas trained Teaching Assistant.

  • Right to work in the UK
  • Clear and up to date Enhanced DBS
  • UK Bachelor's Degree or an overseas equivalent
  • Experience as a Teaching Assistant in UK schools
