Full-Time Teaching Assistant

A vibrant primary school in Balham, SW12 is looking for a committed Teaching Assistant to join their Year 5 team starting in December. This role involves supporting general classroom activities, alongside providing dedicated assistance to students with special educational needs (EHCP children) to help them thrive within a mainstream setting.
Teaching Assistant Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Year 5 class teacher with daily classroom tasks, preparation, and lesson support.
- Work closely with children with EHCPs to provide tailored assistance, promoting engagement and positive learning outcomes.
- Support the emotional, social, and educational development of all students within the classroom.
- Foster a nurturing, inclusive environment in line with the school's ethos.
Teaching Assistant Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, ideally within Key Stage 2.
- Familiarity with supporting students with special educational needs and an understanding of EHCPs.
- Strong communication skills, patience, and a commitment to inclusive education.
