Are you passionate about nurturing the youngest learners and fostering a love for learning? We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Years Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant team in Balham. This full-time position is perfect for someone who is committed to supporting early childhood development and has a genuine interest in working with young children.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Child Development Support: Assist in delivering the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, focusing on each child's individual learning and development needs.
  • Learning Activities: Plan and participate in engaging educational activities that stimulate young minds and support their cognitive, physical, and social development.
  • Classroom Management: Help maintain a safe and nurturing environment where children feel secure and encouraged to explore and learn.
  • Observation and Reporting: Monitor and record children's progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents to ensure each child reaches their potential.
  • Inclusive Support: Work closely with children who have additional needs, tailoring activities to ensure inclusivity and equal opportunities for all learners.
  • Daily Routines: Assist with daily routines including meal times, nap times, and toileting, ensuring the well-being of all children.


What We Are Looking For:

  • Experience: Proven experience in an Early Years setting is essential. Familiarity with the EYFS framework and working with children aged 0-5 years is highly desirable.
  • Qualifications: Ideally hold a Level 3 Early Years qualification (e.g., CACHE Level 3, NVQ Level 3 in Early Years Care and Education, or equivalent).
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a patient and nurturing attitude, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Commitment: A proactive, creative, and flexible approach to supporting young children's learning and development.
