A dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant is sought after to join a primary school team based in the London Borough of Haringey. With excellent transport links nearby, including buses and trains, the school is easy to reach from all parts of London. The role of the Teaching Assistant is to support teachers and students in all aspects of teaching and learning.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant and will be passionate about education and helping children to achieve their full potential. As a Teaching Assistant, they will work collaboratively with teachers to provide support in a variety of areas, including classroom management, student assessment, and individualised learning.
The key responsibilities of the Teaching Assistant will include assisting teachers in the planning and delivery of lessons and activities, supporting students in their learning, providing one-to-one and small group support where needed, assisting with student assessments and reporting on student progress to teachers, helping to create a safe and positive learning environment for all students, and undertaking administrative tasks to support the smooth running of the classroom.
To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will need to be a confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skills. They should also be able to work well in a team environment, be adaptable, and willing to take on new tasks.
