This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant or a graduate with a psychology or education background, looking to develop hands-on experience in behaviour support.
The Role:
- Position: SEN Teaching Assistant (Behaviour Support).
- Salary: £80-£100 per day, depending on experience.
- Location: Enfield, North London.
- Start Date: Immediate.
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with pupils who require additional behavioural and emotional support, ensuring they remain engaged in lessons and develop positive social skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 behaviour support to pupils in a classroom setting.
- Implement positive reinforcement strategies to manage challenging behaviour.
- Use structured routines and de-escalation techniques to create a calm learning environment.
- Support pupils in developing emotional regulation and coping strategies.
- Work closely with the SENCO, class teacher, and pastoral team to implement behaviour plans.
What We're Looking For:
- Experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant, Behaviour Mentor, or Pastoral Support Worker.
- A patient, empathetic, and strong-willed approach to managing behaviour.
- Understanding of SEMH, ASD, ADHD, or trauma-informed practice.
- Confidence in implementing behaviour support strategies and de-escalation techniques.
