Key Responsibilities for the SEN Teaching Assistant:

  • Work alongside the class teacher to provide tailored support to pupils with complex needs in Year 1.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of individual learning plans for students.
  • Provide support for pupils in a variety of classroom activities, promoting their engagement and independence.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where students feel safe to express themselves.
  • Collaborate with other staff and TAs to ensure the needs of each pupil are met.
  • Help track and monitor the progress of students and provide feedback to the class teacher.
  • Encourage social and emotional development and support students in their interactions with peers.
