The Primary Teacher Vacancy

This is a new exciting opportunity for an experienced primary teacher to join a highly successful SEMH school for primary aged pupils in Ealing. The successful Primary Teacher applicant will join a Ealing local authority run school which is widely recognised as a great place to work by by staff and is very highly regarded by parents, OfSTED and the wider community.

The school is in the outer London borough of Ealing and will entail full class teaching responsibilities including all planning, lesson delivery and assessment. Unlike most schools they will also pay you throughout the holidays whilst working on timesheets. They are seeking to appoint an experienced, skilled and passionate primary teacher, with a passion for creative teaching, excellent behaviour management skills and a calm confident classroom demeanour to join the school for a 12 month initial placement.

I have worked with this school for a number of years and they have taken teachers on this basis for the last three years. All but one of these teachers secured a permanent contract with the school once the initial 12 month assignment was completed.

The Primary Teacher Role

This fantastic Ealing SEN school is seeking and experienced, dynamic and enthusiastic specialist SEN Teacher for a The successful SEN Teacher applicant can choose whether they'd like to work in a mixed KS1/KS2 class. However SEN skills and experience either within an aSEN school or within mainstream primary are essential.

All applicants for this Primary Teacher job will need recent UK experience teaching SEN and hold QTS/QTLS or the equivalent.

This Ealing primary SEN school has ample parking and is well served by the tube and buses that run frequently to the nearest train station that is served both by mainline rail and the Elizabeth line (less than 10 minutes away). The school is well placed for applicants based in West London, Central London and Berkshire. The school falls under Hillingdon local authority and has a fantastic reputation. The SLT are long standing, well established, generous with their time and most importantly they have realistic expectations of the staff and students. The school caters for pupils across Ealing, across London and the neighbouring shires, and they currently work with 5 different local authorities.

The successful primary teacher applicant will teach the full National Curriculum and seek to give each pupil an outstanding education, tailored to their individual needs. Through a broad and balanced curriculum, the school aims to recognise and develop individual talents, skills and interests. Classroom-based learning is complemented by learning outdoors, educational trips and visitors coming into school when possible.

The Ideal Primary Teacher Applicant

  • Hold a valid primary teaching qualification
  • Some experience dealing with SEN
  • Have experience of teaching students at KS1/2 level in the UK in the last 6-12 months
  • Be comfortable planning and assessing work in line with national curriculum guidelines
  • Be able to commit for the full academic year
  • Have a good sense of humour and a positive and energetic personality
