An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 5 Primary School Teacher to join a vibrant and welcoming school located in Balham, SW12. This long-term position begins in April 2025 and has the potential to transition into a permanent role for the right candidate.

Role Overview:

As the Year 5 Class Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in fostering a stimulating and engaging learning environment for your pupils. This role involves planning and delivering high-quality lessons, monitoring student progress, and ensuring every child reaches their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons tailored to the Year 5 curriculum.
  • Create an inclusive learning environment that supports all pupils, including those with additional needs.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and parents to support student development and achievement.
  • Monitor and assess pupils' progress, providing feedback and strategies for improvement.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training, and school events as required.

What We're Looking For:

  • Qualifications: QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) is essential.
  • Experience: Proven experience teaching in a UK primary school setting, ideally in Key Stage 2.
  • Skills: Strong classroom management, excellent communication, and a passion for teaching.
  • Commitment: A genuine enthusiasm for long-term involvement in a school community.
  • Availability: Full-time from April 2025.
