The Role:
- Position: Lunchtime Playworker.
- Salary: £13.50-£15 per hour.
- Location: Waltham Forest, East London.
- Hours: 12:00 PM - 1:30 PM, Monday to Friday.
- Start Date: Immediate.
As a Lunchtime Playworker, you will supervise and engage with children during their break, promoting structured play and positive behaviour while ensuring the playground remains safe and inclusive for all pupils.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise pupils during lunchtime and outdoor play sessions.
- Organise and lead fun and interactive activities to keep children engaged.
- Support children in developing social skills, teamwork, and fair play.
- Help manage behaviour and minor conflicts, ensuring all pupils feel included.
- Ensure a smooth transition back to class after lunch.
What We're Looking For:
- Experience working with children in a school, playwork, or childcare setting.
- A positive, friendly, and engaging approach to working with pupils.
- Good communication skills and the ability to motivate and encourage play.
- A proactive attitude and commitment to pupil well-being and safety.
- An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply for one).
