As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work within a mainstream school setting, focusing on supporting a specific pupil with social, emotional, or academic challenges. This role is ideal for someone who is adaptable, patient, and committed to helping every child achieve their best.
Key Responsibilities as a Learning Support Assistant:
- Provide tailored 1:1 support to a pupil, assisting with their academic and emotional needs.
- Help the child build confidence, manage behaviour, and fully engage with their learning.
- Work collaboratively with class teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff.
- Use creative approaches to adapt the curriculum and ensure inclusivity.
- Track and report the pupil's progress, working to set achievable goals.
What We're Looking For:
- Previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant, especially with pupils with SEN such as ASD, ADHD, or SEMH.
- A compassionate, patient, and flexible approach to working with children.
