Learning Support Assistant | 1:1 SEN Role in Mainstream Schools | Waltham Forest | £80-£100 Per Day

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work within a mainstream school setting, focusing on supporting a specific pupil with social, emotional, or academic challenges. This role is ideal for someone who is adaptable, patient, and committed to helping every child achieve their best.



Key Responsibilities as a Learning Support Assistant:

  • Provide tailored 1:1 support to a pupil, assisting with their academic and emotional needs.
  • Help the child build confidence, manage behaviour, and fully engage with their learning.
  • Work collaboratively with class teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff.
  • Use creative approaches to adapt the curriculum and ensure inclusivity.
  • Track and report the pupil's progress, working to set achievable goals.


What We're Looking For:

  • Previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant, especially with pupils with SEN such as ASD, ADHD, or SEMH.
  • A compassionate, patient, and flexible approach to working with children.
  • Strong organisational and interpersonal skills.
  • A proactive attitude and ability to contribute positively to the school community.
  • An interest in professional development and SEN-focused strategies.
