About the role
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:
- Work 1:1 with a child in Year 4 who has ASD and ADHD, providing tailored support to meet their individual needs.
- Help the child stay engaged and focused during lessons, using strategies to manage behaviour and foster learning.
- Collaborate with teachers and SEN specialists to implement effective support plans.
- Play a vital role in helping the child thrive academically and socially in a supportive school environment.
What we're looking for
The ideal Learning Support Assistant will have:
- Prior experience as a Learning Support Assistant or SEN Teaching Assistant, ideally working with children with ASD or ADHD.
- A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting children with additional needs.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to liaise effectively with staff and parents.
- A genuine passion for helping children succeed in their learning journey.
