A Graduate Cover Supervisor is needed in an All Boys Grammar Secondary School & Mixed 6th Form in South East London.
This Graduate Cover Supervisor post can be part or full time, depending on each individual applicants availability.
If appointed as a Graduate Cover Supervisor, your responsibilities will include but not be limited to;
- Setting up lessons for classes where the teacher is absent using the relevant school IT systems
- Getting the pupils to settle down and ensuring they are behaving themselves throughout the lesson
- Engaging with pupils during the lesson to provide them with basic assistance and guidance
- Using the schools behaviour policy to handle and log incidents of negative behaviour
- Organising pupils work at the end of each lesson in order for it to be effectively handed over to the next member of staff
The rates of pay for this Graduate Cover Supervisor role will be between £90 to £110 a day, depending on the qualifications and experiences of each applicant.

The school is single sex up to Year 11 and then operates as a mixed 6th Form.
Academically very strong, they consistently post GCSE and A level results above the regional and national average, with 97% of students achieving 5 A*-C grades including Business and Maths.

In 1995 the school was awarded DfES Technology College specialist status. This enabled them to acquire additional funds for DT, ICT, Science and Maths.

Overtime the school has continued to develop positively and in 2006, the school gained an additional specialism as an MFL College.
Requirements
You are welcome to apply if you are a recent Graduate or experienced Cover Supervisor.
Applications are also welcome if you are a British trained Graduate Cover Supervisor or overseas trained Graduate Cover Supervisor.
All applicants must have the following in order to be considered for this position as a Graduate Cover Supervisor:
- Right to work in the UK
- Clear and up to date Enhanced DBS
- UK Bachelor's Degree or an overseas equivalent
- Experience of working with children/young people or as a Cover Supervisor in UK schools
